Hospital Orientation Program

On commencement, all staff are provided with a thorough introduction to the area or department they will be employed.

All new staff are also required to attend the hospital orientation program. This program, which is supported by our executive team, includes a number of compulsory education programs including:

• Basic Life Support
• Fire and Emergency Training
• Manual Handling
• Infection Control
• Medication competency (for nursing staff)

Internal Training Programs

Throughout the year, we provide a range of internal training programs including compulsory programs. This ensures our staff are kept up to date with their skills.

External Education

Staff are encouraged to maintain and upgrade their qualifications.

Opportunities exist for sponsorship to external conferences and study days. There is an internal application process for funding to assist in these areas.

Management Development Program
